COVID-19 is a pandemic disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, which is an RNA virus similar to the hepatitis C virus (HCV) in the replication process. Sofosbuvir/ledipasvir is an approved drug to treat HCV infection. This study investigates the efficacy of Sofosbuvir/ledipasvir as a treatment for patients with moderate COVID-19 infection.

Correlation between immunohistochemical expression of Ki-67and P63 and aggressiveness of urinary bladder urothelial carcinoma.

Urothelial carcinoma is the most common urinary malignancy with a wide proportion of cancer morbidity and mortality. The aim of the present study is to evaluate Ki-67 and p63 immunoexpression and their correlation with grade and stage of bladder urothelial carcinoma. Fifty cases of bladder urothelial carcinoma were investigated and were submitted to immunohistochemical staining for p63 and Ki-67, which were assessed qualitatively and quantitatively.

Transrectal ultrasound-guided aspiration versus transurethral deroofing of prostatic abscess: A prospective randomized study.

Aims: The aim of this study is to compare between transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)-guided aspiration and transurethral (TU) deroofing in the treatment of prostatic abscess regarding safety and efficacy.

Settings And Design: This prospective randomized study was done during the period between April 2009 and March 2015 and included 32 patients with prostatic abscess.

Subjects And Methods: All patients were enrolled in the study after obtaining a written informed consent and approval of the local ethical committee.

Background: Pneumorachis is a very rare entity to occur after a major trauma. It is even rarer when its occurrence is not associated with injuries in the skull base, chest, abdomen, pelvis, or spine. Pneumorachis extending through the entire spinal canal has never been reported.
