: The usefulness of bevacizumab (BEV) as first-line chemotherapy for advanced ovarian clear cell carcinoma (CCC) was retrospectively evaluated at Tohoku Gynecologic Cancer Unit institutions. : A total of 81 patients (52 patients without BEV and 29 with BEV) with advanced ovarian CCC who received initial platinum-based chemotherapy were enrolled. We selected 26 patients each without and with BEV according to propensity score matching methods, and compared the platinum-resistant recurrence rate, response rate, progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and adverse events between the two groups.

Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology 2022 guidelines for uterine cervical neoplasm treatment.

The Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology (JSGO) Guidelines 2022 for the Treatment of Uterine Cervical Cancer are revised from the 2017 guideline. This guideline aimed to provide standard care for cervical cancer, indicate appropriate current treatment methods for cervical cancer, minimize variances in treatment methods among institutions, improve disease prognosis and treatment safety, reduce the economic and psychosomatic burden of patients by promoting the performance of appropriate treatment, and enhance mutual understanding between patients and healthcare professionals. The guidelines were prepared through the consensus of the JSGO Guideline Committee, based on a careful review of evidence gathered through the literature searches and the medical health insurance system and actual clinical practice situations in Japan.

Intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasms (IOPNs) are distinct from intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms based on characteristic morphologic and genetic features represented by fusion genes involving PRKACA or PRKACB (PRKACA/B). However, pancreatic and biliary tumors with partial oncocytic features are often encountered clinically, and their molecular features are yet to be clarified. This study included 80 intraductal papillary neoplasms: 32 tumors with mature IOPN morphology (typical), 28 with partial or subclonal oncocytic features (atypical), and 20 without oncocytic features (control).
