Synthesis of amino juglone derivatives with adjuvant activity against clinical isolated methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus strains.

1,4-naphthoquinones hydroxyderivatives belong to an important class of natural products and have been known as a favored scaffold in medicinal chemistry due to their multiple biological properties. Juglone is one of the most important 1,4-naphthoquinone extracted from juglandaceae family showing a good antibacterial activity. In this study, we report the synthesis of aminojuglone derivatives through Michael addition reaction using Cerium (III) chloride heptahydrate (CeCl·7HO) as catalyst.

[Malignant transformation of a dermoïd cyst of the scalp. A case report].

Dermoïd cysts are benign tumours, resulting of an embryologic defect. They usually have good prognosis, only a single case of malignant transformation of a sublingual dermoid cyst has been brought back in literature. We report a case of carcinomatous transformation of a dermoïd cyst of the scalp, in a 54 years old man.

[Mesenchymatous chondrosarcoma of the superior maxillary bone. A case report].

The authors report a new case of mesenchymal chondrosarcoma (MCS), occurring in the upper jaw bone of a 19 year-old woman. Radiographic picture in the bone shows an aggressive osteolytic tumor suspect of malignancy. An incisional biopsy was practiced and the histologic examination has confirmed the diagnosis of MCS.
