Individuals who work in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs that serve justice-involved populations face challenging conditions that can cause elevated levels of stress. Although some studies focus on stress faced by MAT professionals, few examine their coping mechanisms. This study applies the Mayo Clinic's "4A's" of stress management-accept, adapt, avoid, and alter-to better understand ways medical staff working in MAT programs manage stress.

Mental health conditions and quality of life (QoL) are important aspects of well-being in late life and are significantly associated with life satisfaction. Despite the complex interrelationships between mental health, QoL and life satisfaction, the current literature has evaluated the simple association between them and failed to consider the complex pathways among these variables, especially among the older population.

Self-expanding metallic stent (SEMS) insertion has emerged as an alternative palliative measure, yet data specific to gynecologic malignancies remains scarce.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 61 patients with gynecologic malignancies and malignant large bowel obstruction who underwent colorectal stenting between January 2002 and December 2023.

Bacterial meningitis causes significant morbidity and mortality in infants. Lumbar punctures are often deferred until the results of blood cultures are known and sometimes not considered, making this population susceptible to a missed diagnosis. There are few studies describing the epidemiology of neonatal meningitis in quaternary neonatal intensive care unit settings.

A unicortical screw in the proximal hole of the plate can theoretically decrease stress riser formation by eliminating the hole in the far bone cortex. This construct has been proposed in orthopedic literature to prevent peri-implant fractures but has not been tested in an osteoporotic distal radius model.
