Background: Encouraging individuals to report daily information such as unpleasant disease symptoms, daily activities and behaviors, or aspects of their physical and emotional state is difficult but necessary for many studies and clinical trials that rely on patient-reported data as primary outcomes. Use of paper diaries is the traditional method of completing daily diaries, but digital surveys are becoming the new standard because of their increased compliance; however, they still fall short of desired compliance levels.

Objective: Mobile games using in-game rewards offer the opportunity to increase compliance above the rates of digital diaries and paper diaries.

Objective: Incidence of patients requiring complex soft tissue or osseous reconstruction has dramatically increased. However most of the monitoring systems have limitations in tissue penetration and are not able to detect microvascular complications after transplantation of so-called buried-flaps, that have no contact to the surface.Aim of the study was to assess contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) as monitoring tool after buried flap transplantations.

Background: To estimate the presence and severity of capsular contracture in patients after breast implants an objective measurement tool is necessary.

Patients And Methods: Eleven patients (range of age 37 to 53 years) who underwent cosmetic breast augmentation (seven patients with bilateral implants) or breast reconstruction by mammary asymmetry (four patients unilateral) with smooth silicone gel implants were included in this prospective study. In total seventeen implants were examined clinically and with the colour coded Ultrasound Elastography using a multifrequency probe (5-10 MHz Siemens Antares Premium VFX13-5).

This ultrasound study investigated the frequency, location, and diameter of segmental blood supply of 34 lower legs in relation to muscle size. Furthermore, we investigated the possibilities and constraints of distally pedicled peroneus brevis muscle flaps, which allow defect coverage down to the medial as well as the lateral ankle. In the proximal part of the peroneus brevis muscle, blood is supplied by branches from the anterior tibial artery that perforate the anterior intermuscular septum; in the distal part of the muscle, blood is supplied by branches from the peroneal artery that perforate the posterior intermuscular septum.

Cetirizine is a new selective H1-antagonist. In a double-blind and placebo-controlled study, 11 subjects underwent a conjunctival provocation test (CPT) with a grass pollen extract to determine the effect of cetirizine on allergen-induced itching and redness of the eye. Results of CPTs were reproducible, as no difference was observed between the CPTs performed without any pre-treatment and the CPTs after placebo.
