Development of small bowel intestinal polyps may lead to intussusception in children may require emergency laparotomy with potential loss of bowel. Acute gastroenteritis remains one of the most frequent disorders in infants and children. The cornerstone of the treatment is oral rehydration, although the latter does not reduce the duration of the diarrhea, which is about four days. As a consequence, this quite benign condition of acute gastroenteritis in our countries still does have an important socio-economic impact.
