Background Succinylcholine (SCh) is the most commonly used muscle relaxant during endotracheal intubation, and it is known to cause fasciculations and postoperative myalgia. Pregabalin is structurally similar to the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is known to reduce SCh-induced fasciculations and myalgia. Methods: Here, we describe and showcase Lingo - a flexible online battery of language and nonverbal reasoning skills based on seven widely used tasks (COWAT, picture narration, vocal rhythm entrainment, rapid automatized naming, following directions, sentence repetition, and nonverbal reasoning).
The presence of ringing cochlear microphonics (CM) with an absence of auditory brainstem response (ABR) is an indicator of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD). The duration of CM may vary based on the stimuli used to elicit the response. Generally, ABR is recorded using clicks with very limited use of tonebursts.
