Management of Delayed Vascular Occlusion in Free Flap Breast Reconstruction: A Systematic Review of Literature and Case Report.

Introduction: Free flap surgery is a reliable and safe procedure for breast reconstruction. The survival of free flaps depends on their vascular pedicle initially, but neovascularization can sustain their blood supply after a while. Management of late pedicle occlusion in free flap breast reconstruction and potential implications of late pedicle occlusion on the transferred tissue are controversial.

Outcome Analysis of Treatment Modalities for Thoracic Sarcomas.

Background: Primary chest wall sarcomas are a rare and heterogeneous group of chest wall tumors that require multimodal oncologic and surgical therapy. The aim of this study was to review our experience regarding the surgical treatment of chest wall sarcomas, evaluating the short- and long-term results.

Identification of the C2∏-X2Σ+ band system of AlO in the ultraviolet galvanoluminescence obtained during aluminum anodization.

The first galvanoluminescence spectrum in the ultraviolet region obtained during anodization of high purity aluminum samples annealed at temperature above 525°C is presented. An intense broad peak with the maximum at about 31,900 cm(-1) is assigned to the transitions (some of them heretofore unobserved) between vibrational levels of the C(2)∏→X(2)Σ(+) spectral system of AlO, partly overlapped with the A(2)Σ(+)→X(2)∏ system of OH.

[Specific IgG and IgE antibodies in house dust mite asthmatic patients and control probands].
