Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of high-grade anal intraepithelial neoplasia (AIN2-3) among immunocompetent women treated for high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN2-3). Such knowledge is strongly needed to establish whether a screening program should be recommended in this group of patients.
Methods: This prospective study included a cohort of consecutive women with no known causes of immunosuppression treated with LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure) for a histopathological diagnosis of CIN2-3 in our center between 2019 and 2021.
Rates of recurrence after incomplete surgical excision of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) range from 4 to 16.6% of analyzed cases. The aim of the present study was to identify the predictive factors associated with facial BBC recurrence following excision and their influences, in order to establish a proper therapeutic strategy.

To better estimate how genetic structure can be used to obtain a conservation perspective of local varieties, genetic variability was examined at 30 nuclear and 3 chloroplast polymorphic microsatellite loci in the native varieties plus 7 European cultivars taken as reference. The genetic profiles of all the cultivars were searched for possible parentage relationships and several suspected cases of the same variety having different names were investigated.

Further data are needed to clarify their effect for prevention and travellers' diarrhoea. The mechanisms of action of probiotics need to be fully elucidated but seem to include a complex interaction of epithelial, molecular, metabolic and immune responses.
