Feline panleukopenia (FPL) in cats is caused by either feline parvovirus (FPV) or canine parvovirus (CPV-2), which belong to the same species "Protoparvovirus carnivoran 1". While FPV is widely recognized as the principal cause of FPL, CPV-2 has been detected at a higher rate than FPV in sick cats in a recent Egyptian study. To assess this conflict, the present study aimed to determine which Protoparvovirus carnivoran 1 is commonly associated with FPL in Egyptian cats.

Rosuvastatin (ROS), a statin drug with promising anticancer properties has a low bioavailability of approximately 20% due to lipophilicity and first-pass metabolism. This study aimed to enhance ROS anticancer efficacy through loading into flexible chitosomes. The chitosomes were prepared starting from negatively charged liposomes through electrostatic interactions with chitosan.

Article Synopsis
  • - Tetracyclines, specifically oxytetracycline (OTC), are key antibiotics used in food animals, and combining them with bromhexine (BR) enhances their antibacterial effects while also serving as a mucolytic agent.
  • - Four new spectrophotometric methods (AC, DW, IDW, SS) were developed for accurately measuring OTC and BR in pure and pharmaceutical forms, with their effectiveness validated under ICH guidelines.
  • - These methods are not only selective and precise but also environmentally friendly, as demonstrated by various green metrics, making them cost-effective and suitable for any analytical laboratory.
