: Microorganisms are the leading cause of infections in the root canal system, contributing to the failure of endodontic treatments. This in vitro study aimed to compare the antimicrobial effects of four different endodontic sealers: Endomethasone N (Septodont, Saint Maur-des-Fossés, France), Sealapex (Kerr Corporation, Orange, CA, USA), AH Plus Jet (Dentsply DeTrey GmbH, Konstanz, Germany), and MTA Fillapex (Angelus, Londrina, Brazil). : The sealers were tested against common oral pathogens, including Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, and Streptococcus mutans, using the agar diffusion method.

Effect of Glass Fiber Reinforcement on Marginal Microleakage in Class II Composite Restorations: An In Vitro Pilot Study.

Polymerization shrinkage of composite resins affects the marginal closure of direct dental restorations. It is responsible for developing secondary caries and indirectly affects the survival rate of restorations. This study aims to investigate the null hypothesis, which states that there are no significant differences in the marginal microleakage of Class II restorations when examined in vitro using different dental adhesives, whether the restoration material used is a composite with glass fiber reinforcement or not.

Effort perception is a crucial capacity underpinning characteristically human forms of sociality, allowing us to learn about others' mental states and about the value of opportunities afforded by our environment, and supporting our ability to cooperate efficiently and fairly. Despite the crucial importance and prevalence of effort perception, little is known about the mechanisms underpinning it. Across two online experiments ( = 462), we tested whether adults estimate others' cognitive effort costs by tracking perceptible properties of movement such as path length, time, and speed.

Environmentally friendly behavior in dentistry.

Background And Aims: Sustainability is the sensitive and responsible way of using the natural resources, its goal being to prevent their depletion and preserving the ecological balance. An essential requirement to achieve this is to practice environmentally conscious behavior. The main objective of the present study was to carry out a survey among dentists about the importance of sustainability, feasibility of an environmentally friendly dental practice and the steps in favor of it.

Minimally invasive apical cannulation and cannula design for short-term mechanical circulatory support devices.

Background: Refractory cardiogenic shock is still a major clinical challenge with high mortality rates, although several devices can be used to conquer this event. These devices have different advantages and disadvantages originating from their insertion or cannulation method, therefore many complications can occur during their use. The aim of our study was to develop and create prototypes of a novel minimal invasively insertable, transapical cannula for surgical ventricular assist devices, which uniquely incorporates the inflow and outflow routes for the blood of the patient in itself, therefore it enables the use for only one cannula for patients in cardiogenic shock.
