Background And Objectives: A previous postmortem study of men with Christianson syndrome, a disorder caused by loss-of-function mutations in the gene , reported a mechanistic link between pathologic tau accumulation and progressive symptoms such as cerebellar atrophy and cognitive decline. This study aimed to characterize the relationships between neuropathologic manifestations and tau accumulation in heterozygous women with mutation.
Methods: We conducted a multimodal neuroimaging and plasma biomarker study on 3 middle-aged heterozygous women with mutations (proband 1: mid-50s; proband 2: early 50s; proband 3: mid-40s) presenting with progressive extrapyramidal symptoms.
Objective: To evaluate the satisfaction, effectiveness, and usability of a telerehabilitation programme for Parkinson's disease (PD) patients.
Design: Prospective cohort study.

Background: Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is one of the most lethal complications in intensive care unit (ICU) patients. However, critical issues of non-survivors vary and are still unclear in VAP patients.
Methods: The clinical differences between survivors and non-survivors of VAP were retrospectively analyzed in patients hospitalized from April 2023 to March 2024.
The effect of a citrus-derived flavonoid, hesperetin, on the automaticity and contraction of isolated guinea pig myocardium was examined. Hesperetin inhibited the rate of ectopic action potential firing of the pulmonary vein myocardium; the slope of the diastolic depolarization was decreased with minimum change in the action potential waveform. The effect was dependent on the concentration; the EC value for firing rate was 56.
