Introduction And Objectives: Rotational atherectomy (RA) is widely used for the management of calcified coronary stenoses. However, there is limited data on its use, trends, and outcomes. We sought to report our twelve-year experience with RA and explore the trends and outcomes of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with this device.

Introduction: Childhood obesity is a major global public health issue globally and in Brazil. The impacts of childhood obesity include higher risk of disease during childhood and of obesity and non-communicable diseases in adulthood and represent an important epidemiological and economic burden to countries. Efficacy and safety of preoperative duloxetine in reducing post-laparoscopic surgery pain: a meta-analysis of randomized placebo-controlled trials.

Background: Recent studies suggest that duloxetine administration before non-laparoscopic surgery may reduce postoperative pain and analgesic requirement without increasing adverse event occurrence.

Aim: To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on preoperative administration of duloxetine versus placebo for postoperative pain relief in adults undergoing laparoscopic surgery, assessing efficacy- and safety-related outcomes.

Method: We systematically searched MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane Library, covering all records up to July 19, 2024.
