Background: Vicks VapoRub (VVR) is a globally popular over-the-counter remedy marketed for use as a topical antitussive and analgesic. This review seeks to provide health professionals and care providers with a thorough summary of the benefits and complications associated with VVR use reported in the medical literature, identify off-label consumer behaviors that might increase the risk of health complications, and encourage further research into over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
Methods: Three databases-PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase-aided in creating a pool of 220 studies.
Background: Over 65 million people have long COVID. Evidence for using Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) to treat long COVID is growing. A systematic review of evidence for guiding clinical decision is warranted.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFDDX39B is a conserved member of the DEAD-box family of ATP-dependent RNA helicases, critical in mRNA metabolism across eukaryotes. DDX39B is also a core component of the TRanscription-EXport (TREX) super protein complex, which recent studies have highlighted the important role of its subunits in neurodevelopmental disorders. Here, we describe six individuals from five families, four harboring de novo missense variants in DDX39B, and one with an inherited splicing variant, presenting with variable developmental delay, congenital hypotonia, epilepsy, short stature, skeletal abnormalities, dysmorphic features and microcephaly in three patients.

Here, we investigate the expression of immunotherapeutic targets in each neuroblastoma subtype and propose pan-neuroblastoma and cell state specific targetable cell-surface proteins.
Methods: We characterized cell lines, patient-derived xenografts, and patient samples as ADRN-dominant or MES-dominant to define subtype-specific and pan-neuroblastoma gene sets.
