Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the link between isolated abdominal circumference (AC) below the 10th percentile in newborns and placental vascular lesions.
  • Pregnant women with AGA neonates were analyzed, showing that those with AC <10th had lower maternal BMI, higher smoking rates, and more induced labors, but no differences in maternal age or neonatal outcomes.
  • The findings suggest that while isolated AC <10th correlates with more labor inductions, it does not increase the risk for placental vascular lesions.
