Ethnomedicinal Knowledge and Traditional Methodology for the Preparation of Fermented Butter "" Among the Rural People of Northern Morocco: A Field Study.

Several rural Moroccan people depend on natural remedies such as (ghee) before visiting a health center due to their low cost and accessibility. However, knowledge of traditional medicine is not documented but rather transferred orally from generation to generation. This is the first qualitative ethnomedicinal study that provides and documents information about the medicinal use of in Northern Morocco.

Taxonomic and Ecological Interaction of Leishmaniasis Vectors (Diptera: Psychodidae) in Sefrou Province (Middle Atlas Morocco).

An entomological survey was carried out in the locality of Aichoune to conduct a study on sand flies, species composition, and monthly relative abundance. This study is essential for the implementation of integrated vector management control. Insects collection was carried out twice a month from January 2013 to December 2014 by means of adhesive and CDC-type light traps.

Histological Features of the Olive Seed and Presence of 7S-Type Seed Storage Proteins as Hallmarks of the Olive Fruit Development.

The production of olive oil is an important economic engine in the Mediterranean area. Nowadays, olive oil is obtained mainly by mechanical processes, by using the whole fruit as the primary raw material. Although the mesocarp is the main source of lipids contributing to olive oil formation, the seed also contributes to the olive oil composition and attributes.

Ole e 1, the major allergen from olive (Olea europaea L.) pollen, increases its expression and is released to the culture medium during in vitro germination.

Ole e 1 is a well-characterized allergenic protein from olive pollen. This paper examines its presence and that of its transcripts during in vitro pollen germination and pollen tube growth. A significant increase of the protein was detected after the emergence of the pollen tube, whereas part of the protein was released into the culture medium throughout pollen germination.

Behavior of storage lipids during development and germination of olive ( Olea europaea L.) pollen.

The presence of abundant oil bodies in the mature olive pollen grain has led us to focus on the behavior of these lipid bodies during pollen development and in vitro pollen germination. The appearance, increase, and accumulation of lipid bodies have been determined by following the sequential development of the pollen grain. Semithin slices of anthers and pollen grains were stained with Sudan Black B in order to identify neutral lipids.
