An attention-aware patch-based deep-learning model for a blind 360-degree image quality assessment (360-IQA) is introduced in this paper. It employs spatial attention mechanisms to focus on spatially significant features, in addition to short skip connections to align them. A long skip connection is adopted to allow features from the earliest layers to be used at the final level.

In this study, two analytical models explaining the thermo-gravitational separation of components in N-component mixtures for vertical cavity filled by a porous medium are presented and assessed. The separation phenomenon was studied in a porous medium contained in vertical columns. We performed analytical and numerical simulations to corroborate the experimental measurements of the thermal diffusion coefficients of ternary mixture n-dodecane, isobutylbenzene, and tetralin obtained in microgravity in the international space station.
