Objective: To determine next steps for lay health worker (LHW) intervention research, specifically in patients with rheumatic musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs), there is a need to establish what strategies have been effective for chronic disease management thus far. The goal of this scoping review is to collate the literature of LHW interventions for adults with RMDs to inform next steps for LHW research.

Methods: A comprehensive literature search was performed in the following databases from inception to September 2021: Ovid Medline, Ovid Embase, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and The Cochrane Library.

Unlabelled: Refractory idiopathic thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a disease that does not respond to or relapses after splenectomy, requires treatment to reduce the risk of clinically significant bleeding, and is a challenging case to treat.

Presentation Of The Case: A 39-year-old male with a history of chronic ITP presented with a platelet count of 1000/µl and prostatitis. He was started on Ciprofloxacin and started intravenous immunoglobulin along with intravenous methylprednisolone.

Ozone exposure induces neuroendocrine stress response, which causes lymphopenia. It was hypothesized that ozone-induced increases in stress hormones will temporally follow changes in circulating granulocytes, monocytes- and lymphocyte subpopulations. The goal of this study was to chronicle the changes in circulating stress hormones, cytokines, and leukocyte trafficking during 4 h exposure to ozone.
