AC plasmas directly excited within liquid hydrocarbons were investigated for the production of hydrogen and unsaturated C hydrocarbon in a recirculating liquid "jet" flow configuration. Arc discharges were excited at two different frequencies (60 Hz and 17.3 kHz) in C-C hydrocarbons (hexane, cyclohexane, benzene, toluene, and xylene) to produce H, CH, CH, and CH, along with liquid and solid carbon byproducts.

Here, we report the kinetics of inhibition of lopinavir (LPV) and darunavir (DRV) on highly mutated South African HIV-1 subtype C PR obtained from clinical isolates. The wild-type and mutant South African HIV-1 subtype C PR were cloned and purified.

The ground electronic configuration has been determined to be Ln 4f6s or 4f for the neutral molecules and Ln 4f for the cations. The low-lying energy states resulting from spin-orbit coupling and ligand field effects have been resolved using spin-orbit multiconfiguration quasi-degenerate second-order perturbation theory calculations.

Objectives: To investigate the prevalence of chronic diseases in the Arab population compared to the Jewish population in Israel.
Methods: This retrospective study included Arab and Jewish people insured by Israel's largest health maintenance organization.
There was an unprecedented surge in admissions for medical stabilization of pediatric patients with eating disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario. Eleven hospitals established an integrated rapid response model to ensure timely in-patient access for these patients. This population was cared for in re-allocated community hospital beds as a result of engaging hospital leadership, strengthening partnerships, consulting experts, leveraging existing resources and developing regional bed access strategies.
