COVID-19 vaccine knowledge and acceptance among the Libyan population: A cross-sectional study.

We aim to identify Libyans' knowledge, attitudes, and acceptance regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. A cross-sectional survey was electronically distributed to the Libyan population aged 18 and older between May and September 2023. The questionnaire had three sections: socio-demographics, COVID-19 vaccination and infection, and knowledge and attitudes toward the COVID-19 vaccine.

The prevalence of depression and anxiety among medical students in Yemen: A cross-sectional study.

Background: Medical students may experience mental health disorders like anxiety and depression during medical school, which can negatively impact their productivity, education, and overall quality of life. Currently, there are no studies examining the mental health of medical students in Yemen. Our study aimed to estimate prevalence of depression and anxiety among Yemeni medical students.

Polio outbreak response, Yemen.

Problem: A decrease in vaccine coverage in conflict-affected areas has placed Yemen at higher risk of polio outbreaks caused by vaccine-derived poliovirus strains.

Approach: In response to polio outbreaks, the Yemeni health ministry and partners initiated multiple vaccination campaigns to deliver vaccines to children. We also implemented several measures to enhance communication, education, health promotion and hygiene, especially in camps for internally displaced people.
