Remote Gait Analysis Using Ultra-Wideband Radar Technology Based on Joint Range-Doppler-Time Representation.

Objective: In recent years, radar technology has been extensively utilized in contactless human behavior monitoring systems. The unique capabilities of ultra-wideband (UWB) radars compared to conventional radar technologies, due to time-of-flight measurements, present new untapped opportunities for in-depth monitoring of human movement during overground locomotion. This study aims to investigate the deployability of UWB radars in accurately capturing the gait patterns of healthy individuals with no known walking impairments.

Patient Perspectives on Pharmacotherapy of Alcohol Dependence.

Introduction: Pharmacotherapy with drugs like naltrexone or acamprosate is a well-evaluated element in the treatment of alcohol dependence (AD). However, in many countries, these medications are rarely administered. The objective of the present study was to identify from patients' perspective factors that prevent the initiation and compliance with pharmacological treatment of AD.

Development and implementation of quality indicators in a group of nine psychiatric hospitals.

Quality indicators (QI) are becoming increasingly important in mental healthcare in Germany. QI can be used for various purposes, such as for creating transparency as well as for benchmarking between hospitals. QI themselves are subject to high quality standards.

Deficits in muscle strength are not seen following recovery from augmented primary repair of anterior cruciate ligament tears.

Objectives: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair for proximal tears, where the ligament is re-attached and augmented with suture tape, can negate the need for graft harvest, thereby maintaining native anatomy. Autograft harvest has been associated with persistent deficits in lower limb muscle strength after recovery from ACL reconstruction. The aim of this study is to compare lower limb muscle strength following ACL repair and reconstruction.

[Joint crisis plans in mental health hospitals-Real practice in an association of psychiatric hospitals].

Background: Joint crisis plans (JCPs) are offered in many psychiatric hospitals, but patients only rarely make use of them.

Objective: To assess the rates of JCPs among inpatients of mental health hospitals and to analyze the clinical characteristics of patients who make use of a JCP.

Material And Methods: We carried out a retrospective analysis of routine data from the statistical database/basis documentation of the LVR hospital association, which consists of nine psychiatric hospitals.
