Background: Approximately 25% of individuals with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) concurrently experience immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), while the overall prevalence of these conditions in the general population is 5-7%. Individuals with IBD and concurrent IMIDs tend to have a more aggressive disease profile. We aimed to assess the prevalence of coexisting autoimmune disorders among patients with IBD and their association with inflammatory bowel disease type.

This study examined the efficacy and safety of ataluren, the first oral treatment for DMD with nonsense mutations (nmDMD), in patients in the Middle East.
Methods: This retrospective longitudinal study assessed the outcomes of seven boys with nmDMD who received treatment with ataluren and follow-up at a single center since 2016.
Background: Artificial intelligence is experiencing rapid growth, with continual innovation and advancements in the health care field.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the application of artificial intelligence technologies across various domains of respiratory care.
Methods: We conducted a narrative review to examine the latest advancements in the use of artificial intelligence in the field of respiratory care.
Purpose: The PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is one of the most effective immune checkpoint pathways utilized for cancer immunotherapy. Despite the success of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 mAbs, there is growing interest in developing low molecular weight anti-PD-1/PD-1 agents, such as peptides, because of their improved tumor penetration. We recently developed a small anti-PD-L1 peptide and demonstrated its promising anti-tumor activity.
