Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) originates from differentiated hepatocytes undergoing compensatory proliferation in livers damaged by viruses or metabolic-dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). While increasing HCC risk, MASH triggers p53-dependent hepatocyte senescence, which we found to parallel hypernutrition-induced DNA breaks. How this tumour-suppressive response is bypassed to license oncogenic mutagenesis and enable HCC evolution was previously unclear.

To address this issue, a novel, simple, sensitive, and accurate method has been developed. This method employs a functionalized ionic liquid, 2-(4-hydroxybenzyl)hydrazinium chloride ([HBH][Cl]), specifically designed to structurally mimic paracetamol and function as a complexing agent.

The determination of serum fasted triglycerides concentrations, as part of a lipid profile, is crucial key point in hematological factors and significantly affect various systemic diseases. This study was carried out to assess the potential relation between the concentration of TG and hematological factors.

The changing characteristics of renewable energy sources and energy demand's unpredictable patterns might cause disruptions in the sustainable working of microgrids. Moreover, EVs (electric vehicles), being dynamic loads, might significantly affect the security administration of the microgrid.

While sleep deprivation (SD) and circadian rhythm disruption are known to negatively impact various organs, their specific effects on kidney function remain understudied. This study aimed to investigate the impact of chronic partial sleep deprivation and circadian rhythm disruption on renal function in rats, providing insights into the relationship between sleep disturbances and kidney health.
