Introduction: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) poses a significant challenge in cancer patients, particularly those with advanced malignancies. The management of recurrent VTE is complicated by the need for effective anticoagulation while addressing the underlying cancer progression.

Cases: We present two clinical cases from the gastroenterology department at Percy French military hospital involving patients with progressive malignant digestive diseases.

Beyond its role in hallmark features of ASD, the cerebellum and its connectivity with forebrain structures also play a role in navigation. However, the current understanding of navigation abilities in ASD is equivocal, as is the impact of the disorder on the functional anatomy of the cerebellum.

Relevance of Antibiotic Prophylaxis in Non-Mesh Inguinal Hernia Repair in Remote and Poor Medical Settings in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Because of the poor local medical conditions, and because the surgical site infection (SSI) rate after hernia repair in sub-Saharan Africa is higher than in developed countries, deployed surgeons within Role 2 usually perform non-mesh inguinal herniorrhaphy. Regarding antimicrobial prophylaxis, the latter currently is not recommended in non-mesh inguinal hernia repairs. Our study aimed at assessing the relevance of antibiotic prophylaxis in non-mesh inguinal hernia repair within a Role 2 surgical structure deployed in sub-Saharan Africa.
