Background: Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) were considered to be stem cells with limited potencies due to their existence in adult organisms. However, the production of spermatogonial stem cell colonies with broader differentiation capabilities in primary germ cell cultures from mice of select genetic backgrounds (C57BL6/Tg14, ddY, FVB and 129/Ola) indicated that SSCs from these strains were pluripotent.
Methods: We established primary cultures of SSCs from neonatal and adult Swiss 3T3 Albino mice.
Modern hip arthroplasty still faces the issue of wear in the articulating surface and wear induced debris. Thus, the design of hip implant is highly important for its longevity. Experimental demonstration of wear in hip implant involves both time and cost and, in this regard, finite element analysis acts as a suitable alternative.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe optimized structures and theoretical studies of metal based anticancer drugs Nedaplatin (cis-Diammine glycolato platinum) (CDGP) and Oxaliplatin (Diaminocyclohexane oxalatoplatinum) (DCOP) structures by Density Functional Theory (DFT) method at the B3LYP level with LANL2DZ was applied to investigate the spectroscopic, structural optical properties, conducting properties for the chosen materials, Band Gap was predicted with the help of HOMO-LUMO values. From the calculated parameters of the title compounds CDGP and DCOP shows DCOP found to be highly reactive metal complexed anticancer drug over CDGP. On calculating the site of the lowest binding energy a receptor active site with ligand is done by Ligand-protein docking process.

Case: A 55-year-old woman with history of ESKD with deceased donor kidney transplant with failing graft function and baseline creatinine of 2.8 mg/dl presented to the clinic with nocturnal cough, orthopnea, dyspnea on exertion and pedal edema.
