Optimal management of adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) requires a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach, fostering a collaborative culture over an individualistic approach. Within this framework, subspecialty-trained radiologists provide crucial imaging expertise, supporting cardiologists, surgeons, and interventional cardiologists in diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up evaluations. Advanced imaging tools and a nuanced understanding of surgical and interventional procedures enable radiologists to provide valuable insights to clinicians.

As differences among various measurement techniques for valve evaluation are still poorly understood, we sought to assess the intra- and interobserver agreement of complex measurements derived from a prototype mitral evaluation tool (Siemens) and a commercially available tool (CVI42) using both saddle- and D-shaped mitral annulus techniques.
Materials And Methods: Multiphasic cardiac computed tomography angiography data were loaded into each software.
Aims: Recurrent acute myocardial infarction (RE-AMI) is a frequent complication after STEMI, and its association with stent thrombosis can be life-threatening. Intravenous atorvastatin (IV-atorva) administration during AMI has been shown to limit infarct size and adverse cardiac remodeling. We determined by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) whether the cardioprotection exerted by IV-atorva at the index AMI event translates into a better prognosis upon RE-AMI in dyslipidemic pigs.

Identifying and appropriately triaging cardiovascular findings is often challenging, especially in non-gated or unenhanced studies. The authors provide a pictorial review of clinically relevant abnormalities of the main intrathoracic vessels (aorta, superior vena cava, pulmonary arteries and coronary arteries), for radiologists reporting non-gated enhanced or unenhanced CT of the thorax.

Objectives: This quality improvement project (QIP) aimed to foster radiology training at a regional tertiary cardiothoracic centre that had very low trainee satisfaction rankings.
Methods: To study the problem and intervene timely, multiple methods were applied, including a local feedback survey, placement reorganisation, consultant encouragement to train as accredited supervisors, followed by departmental education portal creation and start of externally funded Visiting Fellowships and salaried Clinical Fellowships. The regional rating was monitored.
