The hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) niche in the bone marrow (BM) supports HSC function, fate and numbers [1]. Sympathetic fibres innervate the BM and are components of the hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSPC) niche [2]. Neuropathy of the HSPC niche is present and essential for disease development in experimental models of JAK2 myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) and MLL-AF9 acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and it is present in the BM of human MPN and AML patients [3-6].

Background And Purpose: Action observation (AO) generates motor simulations in the brain, activating areas involved in actual movement and facilitating imitation. This randomized controlled trial aimed to analyze if observing actions performed by a personally selected referent improves balance in asymptomatic individuals compared to observing a standard referent.

Methods: A total of 165 healthy participants were randomized into three groups: a control group observing landscape videos, a standard referent group observing an unidentifiable model, and a chosen referent group selecting models based on personal similarity.

Purpose: To compare the clinical outcomes of two different schedules of modern image-guided adaptive brachytherapy (IGABT) in patients underwent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) and high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy (BT) for locally advanced cervical cancer treated (LACC) METHODS AND MATERIALS: Data from medical records of all consecutive patients with histologically proven cervical cancer (FIGO 2018 stage IB-IVA) treated by HDR-BT after CCRT at our institution between 2016 and 2021 were reviewed.

Results: Two hundred and 8 patients with LACC FIGO 2018 stages (IB 20.7%; II 26.

EWSR1/FUS::TFCP2-rearranged rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a rare tumor with an aggressive clinical course, a predilection for craniofacial bones, spindled and/or epithelioid histomorphology, and positive immunohistochemistry (IHC) for epithelial and myogenic markers, along with variable ALK expression. Herein, we present four additional cases of primary cutaneous TFCP2-rearranged RMS. Notably, one tumor (case 1) displayed a varied pathological spectrum, initially presenting as a low-grade spindle cell neoplasm, but progressed into a high-grade spindle/epithelioid tumor.

Objectives: To evaluate the oncological efficacy and complications of cryoablation (CA) in treating lung metastases from colorectal cancer (CRC) at the lung periphery.

Materials And Methods: The inclusion criteria for this bicenter retrospective study included patients with histologically confirmed CRC, with radiologically confirmed lung metastases at the periphery of the lung (distance of less than or equal to 2 cm from the costal, diaphragmatic, or cervical pleura) treated with CA between January 2017 and June 2022. Patients with intra-parenchymal metastases or metastases close to the mediastinal pleura and patients without follow-up were excluded.
