Article Synopsis
  • - The insecticide fenpropathrin (FNE) has been linked to neurotoxic effects similar to those seen in Parkinson's disease, affecting dopaminergic markers and causing oxidative stress in rat models.
  • - A study involved 40 male rats divided into four groups to examine the effects of FNE exposure and the protective role of curcumin-encapsulated chitosan nanoparticles (CRM-Chs-NPs) over 60 days.
  • - Results showed that FNE led to various harmful changes in the brain, while CRM-Chs-NPs helped reduce toxicity by improving mitochondrial function, enhancing antioxidant activity, and supporting anti-inflammatory responses.

is a colonial marine hydroid that shows remarkable biological properties, including the capacity to regenerate its entire body throughout its lifetime, a process made possible by its adult migratory stem cells, known as i-cells. Here, we provide an in-depth characterization of the genomic structure and gene content of two species, and , placing them in a comparative evolutionary framework with other cnidarian genomes. We also generated and annotated a single-cell transcriptomic atlas for adult male and identified cell-type markers for all major cell types, including key i-cell markers.

In the current study, matrices of losartan potassium were formulated with two different polymers (Ethocel 10 premium and Ethocel 10FP premium), along with a filler and a lubricant, at different drug-to-polymer / ratios (10:3, 10:4, and 10:5). The matrices were tested by the direct compression method, and their hardness, diameter, thickness, friability, weight variation, content uniformity, and in vitro dissolution tests were assessed to determine 24-h drug release rates. The matrices with Ethocel 10 FP at a 10:4 ratio exhibited pseudo-zero-order kinetics (n-value of 0.

Given the indications on the relationship between neuroticism and various olfactory functions as well as the emotionality of odor memory, it is surprising that no research so far has investigated whether neuroticism corresponds with odor memory performance. Thus, the purpose of our study was to address this question in the context of gender differences. Participants (73 men) completed the 60-items NEO Five Factor Inventory and participated in 32-items "Test for odor memory".
