Background: Sleep disturbances are common in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or bipolar disorder (BD). However, to the best of our knowledge, there has been no study investigating prevalence and features of sleep disorders in youth with ASD with and without comorbid BD. The aim of this case-controlled study was to investigate sleep disturbances in autistic youth with and without comorbid BD.

Assessment of diabetes-specific eating disorder risk in adult patients with diabetes.

Purpose: Adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are reported to be at higher risk for clinical eating disorders (ED) and other disordered eating behaviors (DEB) than their peers without diabetes. On the other hand, there is insufficient data on DEB in adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Our study aimed to investigate the prevalence of DEB in patients with T1D and T2D on intensive insulin therapy followed in our outpatient clinic.

Association between the triglyceride-glucose index and contrast-induced nephropathy in chronic total occlusion patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.

Objective: The triglyceride glucose (TyG) index is a biomarker of insulin resistance and is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events. Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) is an important complication that causes poor outcomes in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between the TyG index and CIN and mortality in patients who underwent PCI due to chronic total coronary occlusion (CTO).
