Nitrogen Enriched Tröger's Base Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity for Heterogeneous Catalysis.

Heterogeneous catalysis is significantly enhanced by the use of highly porous polymers with specific functionalities, such as basic groups, which accelerate reaction rates. Polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) provide a unique platform for catalytic reactions owing to their high surface areas and customizable pore structures. We herein report a series of Tröger's base polymers (TB-PIMs) with enhanced basicity, achieved through the incorporation of nitrogen-containing groups into their repeat units, such as triazine and triphenylamine.

How Arterial Embolization Is Transforming Treatment of Oncologic and Degenerative Musculoskeletal Disease.

Background: Arterial embolization is a minimally invasive treatment that occludes blood vessels supplying pathological tissue. Developed to control bleeding without surgery, it has evolved over decades and is now applied in musculoskeletal oncology as a preoperative treatment, palliative care, or standalone therapy for select tumors. Effect of post heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of hot-rolled AA2017 aluminum alloy.

This study investigates the effects of heat treatment, involving solubilization and aging, on the microstructure of AA2017-T451 aluminum alloy. Samples of 4 mm thick rolled plate of AA2017 underwent solution treatment at 500 °C for two different durations, namely 2 h and 6 h, followed by either water quenching (WQ) or air quenching (AQ). Subsequently, they were artificially aged (AA) at 175 °C for 8 h.

An attempt to integrate information from young children into parent/teacher-based mental health evaluation of child internalizing disorders in epidemiological surveys.

Background: To date, most large surveys on the mental health of children under 11 years old have relied exclusively on data collected from parents and teachers, with no information from children themselves. However, these children are valuable informants despite their young age.
