Proximal humeral fractures are among the most common fractures seen in emergency departments. Accurately diagnosing and selecting the most appropriate treatment for these fractures can be challenging, and consultation with a senior orthopedic surgeon can be time-consuming for both the patient and the emergency unit. We developed a machine learning model for predicting the type of treatment based on injury radiographic images.

Introduction And Importance: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is caused by compression of the median nerve, leading to both sensory and motor dysfunction in the hand. Traditional open carpal tunnel release (CTR) is a proven treatment but often results in longer recovery times, visible scarring, and postoperative issues like pillar pain. Endoscopic techniques, while reducing recovery time and limiting incision size, present risks such as incomplete ligament release and possible nerve injury.

It is the only one which considers the impact of the patient-surgeon relationship on time to return to work and cooperation by the surgeon for administrative issues. It has been shown that a good Q-PASREL score is associated with shorter sick leave and faster return to work.

Guideline-based clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) need the most recent evidence for reliable performance, making the provision of regularly updated clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) a major issue. Some international guidelines are renewed in short intervals and can be used for checking the status of given national guidelines with regard to the most recent evidence. Considering the volume of medical data and the number of CPGs published, computerized comparison of clinical guidelines can be an effective method.
