Background: Genetic variations have emerged as crucial players in the etiology of Alzheimer's disease (AD), and they serve for a better understanding of the disease mechanisms; yet the specific roles of these genetic variants remain uncertain. Animal models with reminiscent disease pathology could uncover previously uncharacterized roles of these genes. Therefore, we generated zebrafish models for AD variants to analyze the in depth molecular and biological functions of these variants.

Introduction: Pests are important factors affecting the growth of cotton, and it is a challenge to accurately detect cotton pests under complex natural conditions, such as low-light environments. This paper proposes a low-light environments cotton pest detection method, DCP-YOLOv7x, based on YOLOv7x, to address the issues of degraded image quality, difficult feature extraction, and low detection precision of cotton pests in low-light environments.
Methods: The DCP-YOLOv7x method first enhances low-quality cotton pest images using FFDNet (Fast and Flexible Denoising Convolutional Neural Network) and the EnlightenGAN low-light image enhancement network.
This study delves into the role of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) surface proteins in cell adhesion and immunoregulation. Using fluorescence microscopy, we observed distinct adhesion patterns on various cell types. LAB surface proteins demonstrated concentration-dependent inhibition of Salmonella adhesion, with LAB69 exhibiting potent antagonistic effects.

In recent years, the advent of indirect 3D printing technology has overcome the stringent material demands, confined resolution, and structural control challenges inherent to direct 3D printing. By utilizing sacrificial templates, the natural structures and physiological functions of bone tissues can be precisely duplicated.

Thirty-four healthy recreationally active male college students were randomly assigned to either the joint instability resistance training (IRT) or traditional resistance training (TRT) group. Participants of the TRT and IRT groups performed lat pull-down training on stable and joint instability conditions for 8 weeks, respectively.
