- The tumor samples from 36 patients showed that T-cells were primarily located at the tumor's edge but also found within the tumor in some cases, with a few interacting with dying cancer cells.
- No direct link was identified between the types of lymphocytes present and the levels of cell apoptosis, although the presence of T-cells inside the tumors hints they may play a role in the dying cancer cells.
