: Vitamin K deficiency in chronic kidney disease (CKD) could potentially occur due to multiple factors, leading to an increased risk of vascular and valvular calcifications. Vitamin K status can be indirectly assessed by measuring the blood levels of vitamin K-dependent proteins (VKDPs), such as matrix GLA protein (MGP). This study aims to examine the relationship between the levels of inactive MGP (dp-uc MGP) and the presence of valvular calcifications, as well as its association with mortality in hemodialysis patients.

Purpose: To evaluate the severity distribution of chemical burn-induced Limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) according to the novel global consensus classification and to compare the treatment approach, before and after the global consensus.

Methods: Medical records of 127 eyes of 109 patients with LSCD were included. LSCD stages were categorized according to the global consensus classification published by "International LSCD Working Group".

Objectives: To evaluate scleral thickness of patients with keratoconus by anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT).

Materials And Methods: Fifty-two eyes of 42 patients with keratoconus (group 1) and 42 right eyes of 42 healthy individuals (group 2) were included. Scleral thickness measurements were taken with AS-OCT 6, 4, and 2 mm behind the scleral spur in four gaze positions: superior, inferior, temporal, and nasal.

Purpose: This study investigates the superiority of sterile lyophilized amniotic membrane extract (AME) prepared at a clinically correlated dose over amniotic membrane transplantation (AMT) in an experimental corneal wound model.

Methods: AME was prepared from a pool of five amniotic membranes. After homogenizing the membranes, they were lyophilized and sterilized by gamma radiation to obtain sterile, lyophilized AME powder.
