Background: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) are rare tumors arising from neuroendocrine cells most commonly in the gastrointestinal-tract. In recent years, advancements in therapeutics have increased survival rates in patients with NEN leading to a greater clinical burden compared to the general population.
Methods: The aim of this single-center case-control study was to investigate the incidence of low bone mass and changes in body composition in adult patients diagnosed with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEPNET).
Importance: Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (VCFs) frequently cause substantial pain and reduced mobility, posing a major health problem. Despite the critical need for effective pain management to restore functionality and improve patient outcomes, the value of various conservative treatments for acute VCF has not been systematically investigated.
Objective: To assess and compare different conservative treatment options in managing acute pain related to VCF.

Background: Hypocortisolemia is associated with increased expression of NR3C1 (glucocorticoid receptor, GR) in blood cells. As endogenous cortisol production is decreased in some RA patients, we tested the hypothesis that GR may be aberrantly expressed in rheumatoid synovium.
Methods: We defined the cellular pattern of NR3C1 synovial expression using human and mouse single-cell RNA-sequencing data.
