Localized oral drug delivery offers several advantages for treating various disease conditions. However, drug retention at the disease site within the oral cavity is indeed a significant challenge due to the dynamic oral environment. The present study aimed to develop a mucoadhesive inner layer for a three-layer mucoadhesive bandage suitable for localized oral drug delivery.

Incorporating active components into hydrogel matrices enhances their suitability for biomedical applications. In this study, we investigated the integration of l-proline, a nonessential imino acid with largely unexplored roles in living systems, into alginate dialdehyde-gelatin hydrogel for wound healing purposes.

Material And Methods: The study included children between 5 and 18 years old with ALL/LBL undergoing chemotherapy in Tertiary Care Hospitals, Mangalore. The study was conducted using various instruments, including paediatric-modified total neuropathy scale for CIPN, handheld dynamometer for muscle strength, bioimpedance analyser for muscle mass, timed up-and-go test for physical performance, and national comprehensive cancer network (NCCN) guidelines for scoring cancer-related fatigue at 3-time points.
Disposal of respiratory secretions from patients having contagious diseases (e.g., COVID-19 and tuberculosis) poses a high risk of infection for healthcare workers.

Background: Asymptomatic bacteriuria (ASB) is commonly seen during pregnancy due to the various morphological, hormonal, and physiological changes the body undergoes. If left undiagnosed, it can lead to conditions such as pyelonephritis and preterm delivery which could culminate in causing maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Therefore, this study aims to determine the prevalence, risk factors, microbial profile, and antibiotic susceptibility patterns associated with ASB in a tertiary healthcare center.
