Background/aim: A high percentage of cancer patients use complementary therapies (CM) during their disease journey. Several barriers for CM prescription still exist among oncologists. This study explored oncologists' attitudes toward prescribing CM with oral supplements or confirming prescriptions made by others.

Disordered C-Terminus Plays a Critical Role in the Activity of the Small GTPase Ran.

Ran is a small GTPase of the Ras superfamily that governs nucleocytoplasmic transport, including that of miR-126, a microRNA that supports the homeostasis and expansion of leukemia stem cells (LSCs). Ran binds to Exportin 5 to facilitate the transport of precursor (pre)-miR-126 across the nuclear membrane for its maturation. Our goal is to inhibit Ran to prevent transport of pre-miR-126 to the cytoplasm.

Active Surveillance of Grade Group 2 Prostate Cancer: Oncological Outcomes from a Contemporary European Cohort.

Background And Objective: Uptake of active surveillance for patients with Gleason grade group (GG) 2 prostate cancer (PCa) remains low. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before biopsy would allow better patient selection, but there are no published data on this strategy. Our aim was to report one of the first European AS series of patients with GG 2 PCa selected via MRI before image-guided biopsy.
