The clastic rocks of the Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin display poor physical properties but are rich in petroleum resources, exhibiting significant exploration potential. However, due to the existence of multiple sets of oil-bearing formations, hydrocarbon-generating formations, and a large longitudinal span, elucidating the correspondence between crude oil and source rocks is vital for further exploration. This study concentrates on the Lower Yanchang Formation of Triassic in the Yan'an area of the Ordos Basin, aiming to perform refined oil-source correlation.

Coronary artery lesions constitute a significant complication of Kawasaki disease (KD) and represents one of the primary etiologies of acquired cardiovascular disease in pediatric populations. In the present study, we observed a downregulation of MEF2C expression in the whole blood of KD patients and in human coronary artery endothelial cells (HCAECs) during the pathophysiological progression of KD. Furthermore, transcriptomic data analysis, in conjunction with observations from HCAECs stimulated with KD serum, indicates that the downregulation of MEF2C in KD is correlated with increased inflammatory levels and the activation of inflammatory pathways.

Background: Hospitals face mounting pressure to reduce unplanned utilization amid rising healthcare demands from an aging population. The Case management for At-Risk patients in the Emergency Department (CARED) program is among the first ED transitional care strategies to focus on both frail older adults and Emergency Department (ED) re-attenders to reduce acute hospital utilization. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the CARED program in reducing hospital (re)admissions and ED re-attendances within 30- and 60-days post-discharge.

Objective: Anorexia nervosa (AN) is associated with disturbances in reward processing, cognitive control, and body image perception, implicating striatal dysfunction. Evidence suggests that underweight may modulate brain function in AN. We aimed to investigate whole-brain resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) of the striatum in patients with AN while controlling for the acute effects of underweight.

The deep oceans are environments of complex carbon dynamics that have the potential to significantly impact the global carbon cycle. However, the role of hadal zones, particularly hadal trenches (water depth > 6 km), in the oceanic dissolved organic carbon (DOC) cycle is not thoroughly investigated. Here we report distinct DOC signatures in the Japan Trench bottom water.
