We describe a new variant of congenital hypertrichosis, primary multifocal localized hypertrichosis in a mother and her son. They presented with long vellus hair on the trunk and arms in foci from birth. They also associated some forms of hair dysplasia.

We have studied 7 patients that belong to three families diagnosed of varians type palmoplantar keratoderma. This type is characterized by the variety of its clinical manifestations, both personal and familial, as also by the great influence of external factors on its evolution. We point out the stable evolution of the disorder and its resistance to general and topical treatment.

In order to describe the observation of "premature aging", in a 20 year old woman, the clinical characteristics of other genodermatosis are reviewed, and the question of differential diagnosis and etiopathogenesis is raised concluding that these syndromes would have a continuous clinicopathological spectrum with various possibilities of manifestation.
