Multiple myeloma (MM), a hematological malignancy which affects the monoclonal plasma cells in the bone marrow, is in rising incidence around the world, accounting for approximately 2 % of newly diagnosed cancer cases in the US, Australia, and Western Europe. Despite the progress made in the last few years in the available therapeutic options (e.g.

In the present research study, calcium alginate/cellulose nanofibrils-based 3D printed scaffolds, double-reinforced with chitosan/polyethylene oxide electrospun nanofibers (NFs) and graphene oxide (GO) were prepared using the 3D printing technique. The porous matrix was provided by the calcium alginate, while the anisotropy degree and mechanical properties were ensured by the addition of fillers with different sizes and shapes (CNFs, NFs, GO), similar to the components naturally found in bone ECM.

This study aimed to provide a genomic perspective on the STEC recovered sporadically from humans and have a foundation of internationally comparable data. Fifty clinical STEC isolates, representing the culture-confirmed infections reported by the STEC Reference Laboratory between 2016 and 2023, were subjected to whole-genome sequencing (WGS) analysis and sequences were interpreted using both commercial and public free bioinformatics tools.

In this way, we will identify how urbanization influences the structure of bat communities in the municipality of Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. We compared species composition, guilds and bat richness in a gradient that crossed urban, semi-urban and natural areas in the municipality of Goiânia, contained in the Cerrado biome.
