Comparisons between obsessive-compulsive disorder and trichotillomania in terms of autistic traits and repetitive behaviors in adolescents.

Background: Our study aims to reveal the relationship between autistic traits and repetitive behaviors in adolescents diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder and trichotillomania and to compare them to healthy controls.

Method: A total of 100 adolescents, 33 of whom were diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, 32 of whom were diagnosed with trichotillomania and 35 healthy controls, aged 11-18 years, who applied to a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic between February 2023 and July 2023, were included in the study. Participants were evaluated with the Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ)-Adolescent, Repetitive Behavior Scale-Revised (RBS-R), Children's Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (CY-BOCS), and Clinical Global Impression Scale-Severity (CGI-S).

Family-based prevention in youth's substance misuse in low- and middle-income countries: A review from Turkey and cultural adaptation of family based interventions.

Family-based interventions have been recognized and practised more in high-income countries than in low- and middle-income countries. However, the threats posed by substance misuse to the youth do not change for the latter. The development of appropriate preventive programs is an area of interest for addiction prevention in low- and middle-income countries by recognizing the risk factors for substance misuse among young individuals.

[Features of patients admitted for COVID-19 at a regional hospital in the Chilean Araucania Region].

Background: The Araucania region in Chile had the greatest COVID-19 incidence and lethality in Chile Aim: To describe the clinical characteristics and evolution of patients admitted for COVID-19 in a high complexity Hospital in the region of La Araucanía-Chile.

Material And Methods: Review of medical records of the first 169 patients aged 55 ± 17 years (50% women) admitted for COVID-19 between march and may, 2020 at a regional hospital in Temuco Chile.

Results: The most common comorbidities of these patients were hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.

Relationships between family functioning, parenting and peer victimization in adolescent depression: A cross-sectional study.

Objective: Major depressive disorder (MDD) in adolescence is a prevalent mental health problem with a complex etiology and a rising incidence. The aim of the study investigated functioning of family, attitudes of parents, and peer victimization in adolescents with MDD and to compare those with healthy adolescents.

Methods: The study was designed as a multi-center, cross-sectional, case-control study.
