Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the role of Respiratory Rate Oxygenation (ROX), shock, and diastolic shock indexes in predicting mortality in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients admitted to the emergency department.
Background: The COVID-19 spread worldwide in a short time and caused a major pandemic. The ROX, shock, and diastolic shock indexes are used in various life-threatening clinical situations.
Background: This study aimed to evaluate the link between anastomotic leaks (AL) and anastomotic strictures (AS) after esophageal atresia surgery and the influence of patient demographics.
Materials And Methods: The clinical data of neonates who underwent surgical repair for esophageal atresia were retrospectively reviewed. The results of AL treatment and the relationship with AS, also the effects of patient characteristics were examined with logistic regression analysis.
Maintaining synaptic communication is required to preserve nervous system function as an organism ages. While much work has been accomplished to understand synapse formation and development, we understand relatively little regarding maintaining synaptic integrity throughout aging. To better understand the mechanisms responsible for maintaining synaptic structure and function, we performed an unbiased forward genetic screen to identify genes required for synapse maintenance of adult Drosophila neuromuscular junctions.

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of spongioplasty and dorsal dartos flaps, in addition to short urethral stents on the outcomes of TIP repair.
Materials And Methods: Only distal hypospadias cases were involved in this study.
