[The rare coincidence of Guillain-Barré syndrome and myelitis].

A 28-year-old male patient developed Guillain-Barré syndrome after a pulmonary infection with typical CSF findings. Five days after the onset, pyramidal signs and spastic increase of muscle tonus in the legs were found. The MRI showed increased signals in the whole spinal cord which were identified as myelitis after review of clinical and neurophysiologic findings.

Neurological manifestations of the oculodentodigital dysplasia syndrome.

Oculodentodigital dysplasia (ODDD) (MIM 164200) is a rare autosomal dominant inherited disorder affecting the development of the face, eyes, limbs and dentition. Neurological complications are thought to be occasional manifestations of the disorder. This report illustrates the neurological manifestations by a pedigree of two ODDD patients with spastic paraparesis, cerebral white matter hyperintensity and basal ganglia hypointensity.

[Primary central nervous system lymphoma as a neurological manifestation of AIDS stage].

In patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the risk of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is over 100 times greater than with noninfected persons. Primary central nervous system lymphoma as a complication of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) occurs in up to 2.4% of all cases and is strongly associated with the Epstein-Barr virus.
