Copper Nanocubes for CO Reduction in Gas Diffusion Electrodes.

Electroreduction of CO represents a promising solution for addressing the global challenges in energy and sustainability. This reaction is highly sensitive to the surface structure of electrocatalysts and the local electrochemical environment. We have investigated the effect of Cu nanoparticle shape on the electrocatalysis of CO reduction by using gas-diffusion electrodes (GDEs) and flowing alkaline catholytes.

Social, obstetric and environmental determinants of low Apgar score among infants born in four selected hospitals in Ibadan, Nigeria.

Little information exists about socio-economic, environmental or occupational determinants of low Apgar scores among Nigerian neonates. Mothers in lying-in wards of four hospitals in Ibadan were interviewed on socio-demographic characteristics, obstetric history and work activities during index pregnancy. Apgar scores and clinical data were extracted from case notes.

Teachers are in a vantage position to facilitate positive health among school-age children through the School Health Programme (SHP). Lack of basic knowledge of the programme among them will hinder its effective implementation. Studies to gauge teachers' knowledge of SHP are needed to improve the current suboptimal level of implementation in Nigeria.
