The impact of subdermal adipose derived stem cell injections and early excision on systemic oxidative stress and wound healing in rats with severe scald burns.

Aim: This study aims to develop an experimental treatment model effective against oxidative stress in the acute period of severe burns and to analyze the mechanisms of healing large wound defects.

Methods: Five rats, including 2 females and 3 males, were used as donors to obtain adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC) from the inguinal fat pad. The stem cells were labeled with green fluorescent protein.

One of the biggest challenges for in vivo gene therapy are vectors mediating highly selective gene transfer into a defined population of therapy-relevant cells. Here we present DARPin-targeted AAVs (DART-AAVs) displaying DARPins specific for human and murine CD8. Insertion of DARPins into the GH2/GH3 loop of the capsid protein 1 (VP1) of AAV2 and AAV6 resulted in high selectivity for CD8-positive T cells with unimpaired gene delivery activity.

Ninety Sixth-Hour Impact of Scalding Burns on End Organ Damage, Systemic Oxidative Stress, and Wound Healing in Rats Treated With Three Different Types of Dressings.

In this study, we investigated the effects of 3 different burn dressing treatments, including experimental, silver, and modern dressing materials, on systemic oxidative stress in rats with severe scald burns within the first 96 h. The rats were divided into five groups: a burn group (n = 10), a polylactic membrane group (n = 10), a silver sulfadiazine group (n = 10), a curcumin group (n = 10), and a control group (n = 10), consisting of equal numbers of female and male rats. In the first 4 groups, 30% of the rats' total body surface area was scalded at 95°C.

Investigation of Serum Interleukin 6, High-Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein and White Blood Cell Levels during the Diagnosis and Treatment of Paediatric Appendicitis Patients Before and during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Introduction: In this study, we prospectively investigated changes in serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and full white blood cell (WBC) counts during the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric patients with appendicitis. We also investigated the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the diagnosis and treatment processes of paediatric appendicitis patients.

Materials And Methods: A non-perforated appendicitis group (n = 110), a perforated appendicitis group (n = 35) and an appendicitis + COVID-19 group (n = 8) were formed.
