Role, education, policies and competencies for advanced practice in paediatric haematology-oncology nursing in Europe: A scoping review.

The aim of this scoping review is to describe the role, education, policies/regulation, skills and competencies required for advanced practice in paediatric haematology-oncology nursing in Europe, highlighting the differences in development between the different European countries. A scoping review was conducted following the methodological framework of guidelines by Arksey and O'Malley and the recommendations for advancing the methodology by Levac et al. We searched MEDLINE/PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Scopus, grey literature, webpages, reference lists and performed a manual search, without any restrictions on language or time.

Sciatic nerve endometriosis - The correct approach matters: A case report.

Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting nearly 10-15% of women of reproductive age and most frequently occurs in the pelvis. A 29-year old woman, para 1 (vaginal delivery 8 years previously), presented with worsening right hip and buttock pain radiating to the right leg, resulting in limping and other gait changes due to delayed diagnosis and treatment.

Recurrent perineal scar endometriosis: A case report.

Introduction: Endometriosis is a chronic disease with the presence of endometrium-like tissue containing endometrial glands and stroma outside the uterus. The incidence of episiotomy scar endometriosis after vaginal delivery is 0.06-0.

New 4-phenylpiperazine-carbodithioate-N-phenylacetamide hybrids: Synthesis, in vitro and in silico evaluations against cholinesterase and α-glucosidase enzymes.

A series of novel 4-phenylpiperazine-carbodithioate-N-phenylacetamide hybrids (6a-n) was designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their in vitro inhibitory activity against the metabolic enzymes, acetylcholinesterase (AChE), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), and α-glucosidase. The obtained results showed that most of the synthesized compounds exhibited high to good anti-AChE and anti-BChE activity in the range of nanomolar concentrations in comparison to tacrine as a positive control. Molecular modeling of the most potent compounds 6e and 6i demonstrated that these compounds interacted with important residues of the AChE and BChE active sites.
