Ketogenic Diet Reduces Age-Induced Chronic Neuroinflammation in Mice.

The ketone body beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) is an acidic energy metabolite that is synthesized during periods of fasting or exercise. Our previous study demonstrated that an every other week cyclic ketogenic diet (Cyclic KD), which induces blood BHB levels similar to those observed during fasting, reduces midlife mortality and improves memory in aging mice. In addition to its canonical role as an energy metabolite, BHB regulates gene expression and inflammatory activation through non-energetic signaling pathways.

By employing mathematical principles, based on number theory, such as periodicity and quasi-periodic organizations, researchers have developed advanced structures with unique thermal behaviours. Although periodic phononic crystals have been extensively explored, various structural design methods based on alternative mathematical sequences have gained attention in recent years.

Giant Aneurysm in the V1 Segment of Vertebral Artery: A Case Report and Literature Review.

Aneurysms in the V1 segment of the extracranial vertebral artery are extremely rare. Furthermore, half of the cases are giant aneurysms larger than 25 mm. This study reports a case of unruptured giant V1 aneurysm of the right vertebral artery that was successfully treated with endovascular coil embolization.
