Purpose: To compare the results in terms of visual acuity and complication rates between eyes undergoing Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) with the help or not of intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT).

Methods: Non-randomized retrospective comparative study including 288 eyes of 227 patients (age, 30 to 90 years) undergoing DMEK surgery with the use of iOCT (OPMI Lumera 700 surgical microscope, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany) (135 eyes, iOCT group) and without it (153 eyes, non-iOCT group. Corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) and complication rates were evaluated during a 24-month follow-up.

This work lays the groundwork for creating an automated system for the inventory of urban waste elements. Our primary contribution is the development of, to the best of our knowledge, the first re-identification system for urban waste elements that uses Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, incorporating information from a classification module and geolocation context to enhance post-processing performance. This re-identification system helps to create and update inventories by determining if a new image matches an existing element in the inventory based on visual similarity or, if not, by adding it as a new identity (new class or new identity of an existing class).

Objectives: This study aims to identify the feasibility of segmentectomy for clinical stage IA3 (cIA3) vs cIA1-2 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: We retrospectively analysed data of consecutive patients with segmentectomy for cIA NSCLC across three centres between January 2017 and December 2022. The stabilized inverse probability of treatment-weighting (IPTW) was employed to minimize potential confounding in baseline characteristics.
