The evolutionarily conserved Mis4 protein establishes cohesion between replicated sister chromatids in vegetatively proliferating cells. In the fission yeast, Schizosaccharomyces pombe, defects in Mis4 lead to premature separation of sister chromatids, resulting in fatal chromosome mis-segregation during mitosis. In humans, NIPBL, an ortholog of Mis4, is responsible for a multisystem disorder called Cornelia de Lange syndrome.

Unlabelled: Primordial odontogenic tumour is a recently categorised rare benign mixed epithelial and mesenchymal odontogenic tumour which occurs most frequently in first two decades of life. It is composed of cellular myxoid connective tissue lined by cuboidal to columnar odontogenic epithelium resembling inner enamel epithelium in early stages of tooth development. Here, we are presenting a unique case of bilateral primordial odontogenic tumour of mandible in a paediatric patient.

Spindle cell sarcoma (SCS) is a malignancy, with the most recent Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) data citing a total of 250 reported cases occurring in the head and neck. Of these cases, none originated in the maxillofacial hard tissue. The diagnosis of SCS requires its differentiation from other sarcomas and spindle cell neoplasms.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. However, there is a lack of comprehensive data from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) regarding factors influencing COPD outcomes, particularly in regions where biomass exposure is prevalent.
Objective: The Factors Affecting Survival in Severe and Very Severe COPD Patients Admitted to Tertiary Centers of India (FAST) study aims to address this gap by evaluating factors impacting survival and exacerbation rates among COPD patients in LMICs like India, with a specific focus on biomass exposure, clinical phenotypes, and nutritional status in patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
