Chronic pelvic pain syndrome (PPS) refers to pain of three to six months duration (or longer) that occurs below the umbilicus. PPS is considered a form of chronic regional pain syndrome or functional somatic pain syndrome. Multimodal ollaborative and patient-centered approach is critical component of treatment for women with CPPS.

Efficacy of neuromidin was studied in 62 patients with a small ischemic stroke and cognitive disorders. Patients of the main group received neuromidin as an add-on to basic treatment and patients of the comparison group received only basic treatment (antiaggregant, antihypertensive, cardiac and antidiabetic drugs with the exclusion of nootropic and psychotropic medications). The decrease of subjective complaints, improvement of memory, attention, abstract and practical reasoning assessed by neuropsychological tests were seen in 32 patients of the main group after the end of treatment course.

A table is formed of minimal numbers of identical amino acids for which the probability of the causal coincidence in a segment of certain length is less then 1%. The criteria were corroborated by comparison of natural proteins and model amino acid sequences concocted by means of the random numbers generator.

The levels of E-type prostaglandins were measured in patients with facial and headaches. The data on the prostaglandin levels suggest that the severity of pain syndrome should be taken into consideration in relieving the pain, and then the nosology should be considered. The use of drugs influencing the prostaglandin turnover in treating patients with facial and headaches is discussed.
